Important Update May 2022

This website is no longer being maintained as of May 2022 as the charity PFCI Ministry in Nigeria is no longer in operation. As such, please do not provide any payments to this charity or directly to Muhammed Ibrahim for this work.

Passion for Converts International Ministry was founded in 2009 by Rev Muhammed Ibrahim in Kaduna, Nigeria and has been effective in the conversion and discipling of Muslim background believers as well as meeting many needs in the local communities of Kaduna and beyond throughout this time. The ministry was originally established as a charity in Nigeria under the direction of a board and with annual financial budgets, statements and accountability. In recent years this stewardship had deteriorated and the charity is no longer registered or operated under a board.

We thank God for the many lives that have been forever impacted by this ministry and we wish Muhammed all the best for the future with his new posting in Sokoto in Northern Nigeria. If the management of the charity is resolved, or an alternative charity arises, the support team in Australia will be sure to update this notice and share further opportunities how we might help those who suffer persecution and hardship in Northern Nigeria.

From Passion’s Desk:

With hearts in deep pain, we write this to give you a true picture of a recent ugly incident in Kasuwan Magani. It is less than 15 kilometres south-east of Kaduna town. It has a reasonable Muslim population surrounded by Christians.
In the early hours of February 26th 2018, both Christians and Muslims woke up to experience a blood bath. A Christian lady was in a relationship with a young Muslim boy. She relocated without her parents permission to live with her boyfriend who had completed arrangements to convert her to Islam and have a marriage contracted without her parent’s consent.
Attempts to resist this plan resulted in Muslim youths attacking the Christians. The reprisal by Christian youths left many dead, with houses and shops belonging to Christians burnt down. Sadly, today, many are homeless and jobless.
Passion is interested in Kasuwan Magani because we have a silent convert there and hope to make it our second mission field because we know that they are open to the gospel.

From Passion’s Desk:

The Founder and Executive Director of Passion for Converts comes from the Southern part of Kaduna state. This region is facing the most challenging issue today. For over three years now incessant killings of the indigenes at will by what is popularly known and titled, “Unknown Gun men” in this region simply signifies an agenda. What is baffling him is the way the present Government has deliberately refused to consider the people from the Southern part worthy of security. Sympathetic enough, the Kaduna State Government sets up a joint border patrol team in the north-west just to secure cows from cattle rustlers. Gun men recently walked into communities like Godogodo and Atuku, killing and burning houses without a single provocation. The Kaduna state media refuses to report this and remains mute about it.

The Southern part of Kaduna state is a free zone for Muslim evangelism and converts are currently safer there than in the north. The concern Passion has now is that if this situation continues, converts in the zone will no longer be safe. Passion cannot be comfortable taking our converts there. Ultimately, Muslim evangelism in this region will eventually become impossible. Thank you for remembering Passion for Converts International in your prayers.

From Passion’s Desk:

It is one thing to have a convert but it is another and most important thing to have such a convert established in his or her newly found hope and identity before men and God. Passion is doing all within reach to have our converts established. Attention has recently been turned in this direction.

Musa, the first of the Lord’s harvest in my family is our concern today. Since 1998 when I was saved, I have never stop praying for my family.  The unique thing about Passion is that it provided both spiritual and material encouragement that can make any convert from Islam to Christianity, holistic. We have the grace to discern a convert’s genuine conversion and move such to the next level of life.

We also move the church’s leadership from the level of doubting converts to that of discerning if a convert is convinced and converted.  As a group of passionate missionaries and disciple makers, we raise mission-minded believers. We are committed to doing all of this in and outside Nigeria.

Our attention in 2015 is turned towards constant seminars and awareness campaigns.  In the month of January alone Passion conducted two seminars.  One on “The challenge and prospects of Christian couples in mission” and the second on, “Know why you are where you are now”.

During these seminars, with the help of one of our partners, Passion was able to sell the book, “Glad News! God loves you my Muslim Friend” at a subsidised price.

From Passion’s Desk

There is a dimensional change of focus as a result of the changing trends of events here in Nigeria and the world at large as it concerns Islamic and terrorism. On Friday the 28th November, 2014, during the Friday prayer in the central city of Kano, there were multiple blasts by the Nigerian version of the Al Qaeda known as Boko Haram. This is the worst of terror attack in the history of Nigeria and Africa. Over 120 people died in the blasts according to the official figures. However, unconfirmed sources indicate that the death toll could have been over 600. A female suicide bomber who was caught revealed that Boko Haram has prepared over 50 suicide bombers with the aim of killing not less than 100,000 people before the end of December.  It is very clear that whoever opposes the group’s agenda stand the risk of facing the same terror attacks. This indicates further the need for an urgent study of Islam and violence – the field I intend to embark on.

THE TASK BEFORE PASSION

One may wonder why Passion publishes such information as found in this Newsletter.  I am sure that it has surprised many to hear that reported atrocities are perpetuated by the widely proclaimed religion of peace (Islam).  Where do they draw their inspiration and be so determined, damming the consequences.  Without a divine promised reward that they are undoubtedly trusting and looking forward to receiving, no normal person would dare take a vain risk like this.

We need an understanding of why we read about Islam as a religion of peace and yet see violence perpetuated by Muslims in almost every region where Muslims live, not only in Nigeria but globally.  Every true and divine instruction should sound the same.  Young Chibok girls abducted, female teenage suicide bombers – such actions remain unclear to many.  Passion is working on finding out the reasons for these double tunes coming from Muslims and the teachings of Islam.

Newsletter Sep 2013 – Passion holds 2 day Seminar

Please find our latest  Newsletter for Passion for Converts International:

The inevitable co-existence of Muslims and Christians side by side calls for a re-think. The constant challenge of Islam to the existence of Christians and their freedom to worship freely especially in Northern Nigeria, is a plight. The ignorance of Christians about Islam and Muslims, why they do what they do, is not a small burden.

The inability to reach Muslims with the Gospel which is a command that is in no way to be compromised, demands a concerted effort to effect changes. In this clear and visible challenge, Passion remains determined to reduce the polarity to the minimum through seminars and training.

In a country where change of faith simply means forfeiting everything in life including the right to live, where should such a person go to for help if not to the brethren? Who will help him/her if the Church does not? The aim of confiscating everything from a convert is to persecute him/her to see if a convert will return to Islam. Passion is committed to the sustainability of such people and wishes to partner with them to ensure that they never return to Islam.

Newsletter May 2013 – Passion Founder visits Australia

Here is our first Newsletter as Passion for Converts International:

“In this era, who else needs the gospel more?  Where is our closest mission field?  I believe Muslims are.  There is no visible challenge before the church like Islam.  The greatest challenge is the inability of christendom to realize the existing deception of Islam even to the learned Western world.  Passion is not only committed to providing holistic discipleship but is also committed to the task of unveiling these deceptions.

Knowledge is power and freedom.  We have an assignment.  The world is waiting for your contribution in this timely ministry.  Passion desires to see more missionaries to the Muslim world.  We would love Muslims to be saved despite their violence.  We believe in the saving power of God.  We see the outbreak of revival in the Islamic world.  We are determined to ensure that saved Muslims express their passion to the salvation of fellow Muslims. Passion therefore invites you to keep this passion moving.”
Muhammed Ibrahim.
