Passion holds 2 day Seminar

After several planning meetings in Zonkwa, Passion held a first-of-its-kind Seminar on the 28th & 29th of August, 2013 at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral, Zonkwa. The Seminar was attended by church leaders of almost every denomination in Zangon Kataf Local Government including the Bishops of Zonkwa and Kwoi Anglican Dioceses.

Topics presented included:
1) Forgiveness as God intended it: a tool for evangelism in Northern Nigeria.
2) Christian should love Muslims.
3) History of Christian–Muslim relation and faith building.
4) Holistic discipleship of Muslim background believers.
Thirteen Pastors/church leaders renewed their commitment to focus on Muslim mission.

The response to this initiative by Passion is very encouraging.  The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Zongon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state, Nigeria with the representatives of the various denominations in Zonkwa, the Local Government Headquarters of Zangon Kataf L.G.A. resolved that:

1) Seminar DVDs should be sent to all community leaders.
2) A separate seminar should be organized for all community leaders on the same topics.
3) Such seminars should be held twice a year in view of their significance.

Representatives of the leadership of the Pentecostal Churches Fellowship in Nigeria (PFN) Asoh, Abuja chapter attended the Seminar and also resolved that such a Seminar be held in Asoh, Abuja for all church leaders of the PFN on 27th and 28th September, 2013.
