My Profile: Muhammed Ibrahim

I was born on 9th September 1969 at Makarau in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State in Nigeria.

I had an early education in Arabic studies due to my Islamic background. In September, 1976, I started my primary education at the U.P.E (Universal Primary Education) Kachechere and passed out in June 1982. I gained admission into Teachers’ College Manchok (Now G.S.S, Government Secondary School) and bagged my Teachers Grade II in June 1987. All attempts to read the Nigerian Certificate in Education (N.C.E) at College of Education, Kafanchan and Federal College of Education, Zaria proved abortive due to poor our financial situation.

I was brought up as Muslim until 1988, when I had a radical change through a personal encounter with the Lord, who transformed my life from a fundamental Sunni Muslim to a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. (See my Journey to Salvation).

On my conversion, I was admitted into the Anglican Bible College Kafanchan in Kaduna State of Nigeria. I got the call into full time Ministry and was employed as an Evangelist in the Anglican Diocese of Kaduna. September 1999 – September 2000.

My desire for further in-depth study of the Word of God to equip me for Evangelism among Muslims earned me an admission into St. Francis of Assissi Theological College, Wusasa Zaria in Kaduna State of Nigeria. In 2003, I was awarded a Diploma in Theology and Christian Religious Studies (Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria). At the same time, I undertook a preliminary Certificate in Theology from Moore Theological College, Sydney, Australia (by correspondence).

In the same vein, I gained admission into Theological College of Northern Nigeria. Buruku – Jos, Nigeria for a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) part-time in 2005. (The program I will, by the Grace of God, complete in 2009).

My burning desire is for the salvation of practising Muslims all over the world. This has moved me to acquire the necessary training academically, and also depending on God to enable me reach Muslims with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. My biggest challenge is how to secure partners with a similar burden who will support this Ministry both spiritually, financially, morally and otherwise.

I am married and we are blessed with two children.

I am grateful to God for restoring a peaceful relationship between my birth family and I. This gives me opportunities to introduce the Gospel to them whenever they pay us a visit.
